What is Microneedling Collagen induction therapy?
Microneedling causes tiny injuries in the epidermis and dermis layers of the skin,Triggering the body is healing response. When creating controlled injuries in the skin, it triggers Dr rich red blood cells and white blood cells to rush to injured area and form new collagen and elastin. The results are tighter, more youthful looking skin.
Who is a candidate?
Microneedling is great for clients who suffer from acne scarring, large pores, hyper pigmentation, sun damage, uneven skin tone, texture, dullness, and it is also a great alternative for an overall anti-aging treatment.
How many treatments do I need?
A series of 3 to 6 treatments spaced over 4 weeks apart, but no more than 8 treatments in a 12 month period.
After your skin care goal is reach, we recommend that you come in every 2 to 3 months for maintenance.
What is the post care?
Day 1-2- A sunburn-like effect is normal. Your skin may feel tight, dry or sensitive. Treat the skin by gently washing it with a gentle cleanser and cool water. Moisturize with hyaluronic acid or growth factor serum(peptide)
After 24hrs, a sunscreen of SPF30+ should be applied for minimum of 2 weeks
*some clients experience peeling a few days post treatment, which is due to an increased turnover if skin cells, if you do DO NOT pick, scratch, or scrub*
Day 3-5- Continue cleansing with gentle cleanser. You must still stay away from medical grade products such as salicylic acid, lactic acid, glycollic acid, Retin-A, retinal and etc.
Day 6-8- You may try to incorporate your medical grade skin care products slowly into your routine again once your skin no longer feels irritated
Immediately after your Medical Micro-Needling procedure, your esthetician will apply a hyaluronic mask for 5-10 min and moisturizer.
What to expect?
Using a hyaluronic serum, a 12 needle pen is glided 90 across the skin in different depths depending in the area causing controlled micro trauma to the skin which stimulates new collagen.
Who is not a candidate?
