Gel for nails is a specialized nail product used to create durable, glossy, and long-lasting manicures. It is made from a combination of liquid monomers and oligomers that harden (cure) when exposed to UV or LED light. Often referred to as a Russian manicure, the technique that originated in Eastern Europe is one we practice which entails using an electric file with specialized tools is a highly precise, detailed nail treatment that focuses on achieving a clean, polished look using an electric file to remove excess cuticle and refine the nail surface. This technique is known for creating a flawless, long-lasting base for gel polish or structured manicures.

Nail Shaping & Buffing

Nails are trimmed and shaped to the desired length and style (square, almond, oval, etc.).

Cuticle Removal with an E-File

Unlike a regular manicure, where cuticles are pushed back and trimmed manually, a Russian manicure uses a special e-file bit to gently remove dead skin around the nail plate.

The e-file is used with precision to lift and clean cuticles without damaging the natural nail.

A second, softer bit may be used to further refine and smooth the skin around the nail.

Dehydration & Base Coat Application

Nails are cleansed with alcohol or a nail dehydrator to remove any oils for better adhesion.

A thin layer of gel base coat or rubber base is applied and cured under a LED lamp.

Rubber Gel Polish or Hard Gel Application

If desired, gel polish is applied in thin layers, curing each layer under the lamp.

For Extra Strength

A structured gel (builder gel or rubber base) can be applied to reinforce the natural nail and dipped in clear dip powder. This technique combines the strength of dip powder with the shine and versatility of gel polish.

Topcoat & Final Touches

A no-wipe or regular gel topcoat is applied and cured for a glossy or matte finish.

HOW DOES IPL (INTENSE PULSE LIGHT) HAIR REMOVAL WORK?

When used in hair reduction, the light is absorbed by the pigment in the hair. It quickly turns to heat which then breaks down the hair follicle, making the hair thinner, lighter, and grow back at a much slower rate, eventually stopping the hair from developing all together.
WHY DO I NEED A SERIES OF TREATMENTS?

AT WHAT AGE CAN YOU START LASER?

16 Years old due to hormones, pain tolerance and liabilities. Laser can be performed on candidates younger however, a waiver must be signed be a guardian.
DO I NEED TO SHAVE BEFORE MY APPOINTMENT?

On the day before your treatment you should shave thoroughly with a new razor. Shaving is the only method of hair removal recommended while having laser treatments. Shaving removes hair above the skin that can result in surface skin damage from burnt hairs but it leaves the hair shaft intact below the surface. The laser admits light that is absorbed by the pigment (melanin) in the hair. This is why it is imperative that you Do not wax or plaque in the area. Tips for shaving do not dry shave the area, use a new razor choose a non-perfume shaving product, take your time and shave The area well.
